Is that your head?
Caught Cloverfield last night, and Eastern Promises couple of weeks ago.
Both turned out pretty good, and I'm glad I didn't know too much of the plot for both movies.
I was expecting Cloverfield to be a Godzilla-like big budget hollywood movie, but it turned out to be very good. The whole idea of using a hand-held cam POV throughout the whole movie may be a gimmick but it worked. There are moments in the movie when it's truly fightening, in a visceral sort of way because it feels like you're in the thick of the action too.
This is probably how it would feel to be trapped in a disaster. Certain scenes feel so much like footages from 9/11 and the Asian Tsunami.
I still think about Eastern Promises once in a while. The acting is just so terrific.
