The Talented Mr. Ripley

Just caught some fragments of The Talented Mr. Ripley, and it got me thinking a bit.

I'd wondered how I ever got interested in shooting fashion. I'd grown up a pure geek, obsessed with computers, video games and movies ever since I could remember. In fact, photography - especially fashion photography - is relatively new to me, and yet now I can't imagine myself doing anything else.

Patricia Highsmith was probably the first to offer me a glimpse into this world.

I can't help but sit back and realized how much I'd changed in the past year.

I wonder what would Jan think if she saw me now. Maybe she already has a kid by now. Maybe by chance, she'd drop by the studio to do some family shots.

It's pretty amazing how a person can influence you, especially if it occurred at an age when one is young and impressionable.

I remember almost everything.

And isn't it just that slightly bit frightening?
