Didn't get the 5D2 in the end.

The black dots got to me. Figured that since it's not really an urgent situation, there's no point of running the risk of procuring a product that might be in less than optimal condition.

Some argue that it's a non-issue, such as this hilarious article here, titled Black Pixels Around Uranus (cough: Your Anus). But decided to wait it out for a bit and see what Canon has to say.
